Edward Louis Taylor

Edward Louis Taylor, 87, of Science Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at his residence.

He was born February 25, 1935 in Casey County; son of the late Doyl & Mary (Price) Taylor. He was a United States Army Veteran and later worked and retired from Crane Plumbing. He also coached Little League Baseball for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife, Faye (New) Taylor, to whom he was married on August 20, 1955; a son, Eddie & (Elaine) Taylor of Science Hill; a brother, Dee & (Alberta) Taylor of Science Hill; two grandchildren, Jordan Taylor and Nicole & (Brad) Cassada; one step-grandchild, Heather & (Jarvis) Irvin; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Ralph, Carroll, John, Jim, and Roy; and a sister, Jerlene Harness.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2022, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Sellers officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 38.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Ladies Ministries at Science Hill Church of the Nazarene, c/o Sherry Childers.
