Estil Wheeler, 87, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at his residence.
He was born March 27, 1934 in Casey County; son of the late Eddie Estil & Annie Lee (Bastin) Wheeler. He worked as a carpenter for the University of Kentucky in Lexington and was of the Christian Faith. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (McMullin) Wheeler; three sons, Estil Allen Wheeler of McCreary County, Michael David Wheeler of Liberty, and Kenneth Edward Wheeler of Yosemite; three daughters, Rita Faye Fischer of Yosemite, Diana Puente of Liberty, and Patricia Lynn Meeks of Windsor, Kentucky; three brothers, Eddie, Ronald, and Clifford Wheeler, all of Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randall Eugene Wheeler; seven brothers, Roy, Claude, Clarence Reid, Clyde, Coy, Tommy, and Raymond Wheeler; and a sister, Jewell Durham.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Morris Bryant officiating.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Casey County Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Brown Cemetery in Brownridge, Kentucky.
Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
