Gary Eugene Farmer

Gary Eugene Farmer, 69, of Science Hill, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington.

 

He was born in Somerset on April 26, 1952; son of the late Eugene & Pauline (Ping) Farmer. He was a factory worker and a member of Ferguson Baptist Church. He loved taking his grandchildren on trips and working with power tools. Church was a big part of his life.

 

He is survived by his wife Elaine (Sorrell) Farmer; his children, Gary Farmer and Angie & (Sam) Cornett; step-children, Joey & (Meagan) Singhoffer, John Singhoffer; grandchildren, James Meeks, Cyndi Stevens, and Cayla Stevens; step-grandchildren, Robbie Singhoffer and Allie Singhoffer; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Bailey, and Carolina; a brother, Jeff & (Debbie) Farmer; and a sister, Betty & (Bob) Whitis.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Terry Farmer; and a sister, Barbara Hail.

 

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Ferguson Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Bates officiating.

 

Burial will be in Grave Hill Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be after 1:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Ferguson Baptist Church.
