Geraldine Marsee

Geraldine Burdine Marsee, 67, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on October 3, 1956 to the late Thurman and Vena Mearl (Goodin) Burdine in Somerset, Kentucky. Geraldine worked for 30 years at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab, which she enjoyed and loved. She was a member of Cotter Avenue Church of God. She loved spending time with her family and kids. She enjoyed reading, loved going to the beach, and Pigeon Forge. She never knew a stranger and had a very contagious laugh. She was dearly loved by all of her family and friends.

Geraldine is survived by her husband whom she married April 29, 1999, William Marsee; her daughters, Brittany Dawn Wilson & Anna Mae Wilson; a grandchild, Hannah Payton & (Steven) Ritchie; a soon to be great-grandson, Leeland Ritchie; her brothers, Von Burdine and Steve Burdine; her sisters, Lisa & (Steve) Salvador and Vickie & (Mike) Meece; a nephew, Joseph Barnette; her father-in-law, William E. Marsee; a sister-in-law, Julie Barnette; special friends, Gina Dockery and Diane Estill; and a host too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kristy Michelle Lashley; her son, William Aaron Marsee; a brother, Gilbert Burdine; a sister, Charlotte Harp; and her mother-in-law, Glenda Marsee.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating.

Burial will be at Acorn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6PM-8PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
