Hargis Hacker

Hargis Hacker, 88, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on March 25, 1936, son of the late Isiah and Georgia (Cole) Hacker. He was a technical engineer for Dubois Chemical.

He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Bowman of Somerset, KY and Kimberly McFarland of Cincinnati, OH; one son, Randall Hacker of Burnside, KY; one sister, Cathy Hurley of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Ginger (Donovan) Baston, Wayne (Amy) Hacker, and Margaret (James) Stevens; and eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Hailey, Ayden, Dean, Eli, Kash, Isabelle, and Payton.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret (Wesley) Hacker; his parents; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Hacker; two grandsons, Adam Cook and Bryan Bowman; two brothers, Dave Hacker and Allen Hacker; and three sisters, Carol Woodrum, Connie Swafford, and Sharon Finley.

A graveside funeral will be held at 3PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Smith Cemetery with Bro. Marvin Hurley, Jr. officiating.
