James Phillip Todd

James Phillip Todd, 86, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.
He was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky on January 20, 1938; He worked as a machinist for General Motors in Indiana; before moving to Kentucky and beginning General Contracting and building. He enjoyed cars and racing as well. He was a US Navy Veteran, and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Rodney Todd; a daughter, Gay Jacklyn Bales & (William); granddaughter, Megan Renee Garrison & (Kyle); great-granddaughter, Abigail Garrison; a brother, Jerry Delano Todd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lloyd Allen Todd; and two sisters, Barbara Thompson, and Brenda Adams.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 10:30 AM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until time for services.
