Larry Lee Vaught, age 65, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born October 17, 1958 to the late Carl Vaught and Shirley (Godby) Vaught in Somerset, Kentucky. Larry was a man of simple pleasures and wide-ranging interests. His heart found joy in the roar of his motorcycle, the thrill of discovering Indian artifacts, and the art of coin collecting. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Larry loved taking things apart to see how they worked and was continuously passionate about learning new things. In his quieter moments, he was often found savoring the nostalgia of old TV shows.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Vaught; two daughters, Amanda Gregory and Anna Mondie; six grandchildren, Kirsten Bodie, Alyssa Bodie, Blake Taylor, Jaxon Gregory, Parker Gregory, and Serena Gossett; one sister, Debbie Baker; and a special niece, Tiphani Baker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Vaught.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Lucas and Bro. Tracy Valentine officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
