Lorene Gifford

Lorene Gifford, 88, of Somerset passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center. She was born September 17, 1933 in Vaught Ridge; daughter of the late Delmar & Nell (Wiles) Waddle. She worked as a seamstress for the Oakwood Facility and was a member of the Eubank Church of Christ. She loved to crochet, quilt, and read. She loved dolls and making doll clothing, including fancy southern dresses. Lorene also loved her flower garden and staying up on current events and remained up to date on all events happening. Most of all she loved her family. She is survived by three children, Jody & (Ed) Huffman, Jeff Hines, and Tim & (Janie) Hines; two brothers, Bob & (Gloria) Waddle and Johnny & (Faye Williams) Waddle; and grandchildren, Penny & (Tim) Leigh, Matthew Bishop, and Allison Hines. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wade Hines; and her second husband, Bernell Gifford. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Vaught Ridge Cemetery.
