Marcia Morrow, 82, of Science Hill, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Baptist Health in Lexington.
She was born April 11, 1941 in Casey County; daughter of the late W.L. & Grace (Walters) Sanders. Marcia worked as a secretary and was a lifelong member of Pulaski Baptist Church.
Marcia was an independent, strong and resilient woman who adored her family and will forever be remembered by those who loved her. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and always lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling with her daughters, square dancing and she had a special knack for making beautiful ribbon bows for loved ones. Marcia lived in the Pulaski community for over 50 years in a home that was built by her late husband, Paul A. Vaught. After Paul’s untimely passing in 1974 Marcia would raise their three children in this home. She instilled in her children grit and the importance of family. Marcia would remarry Fred Morrow and worked as a secretary in their electrical business for the next 20 years until Fred's passing in 2000. One of the most important things in Marcia’s life was her faith in God. No matter how many trials and tribulations she went through, even the untimely loss of her son Paul David Vaught in 2010 her faith never wavered.
Surviving are her daughters, Pauletta & (Terry) Wesley and Cindy & (Kelly) Chowning; grandchildren, Paul "Kenny" Vaught, Kade Vaught-Mincey, Jordan Wesley, Roman Wesley, and Luke Chowning; several great-grandchildren; a very special sister, Paula Bailey Vaught; a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; and a special life-long friend, Elva Jones.
Marcia is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul A. Vaught; her second husband, Fred Morrow; a son, Paul David Vaught; and siblings, Norbert Sanders, Fletcher Sanders, Delain Sanders, and Ted Sanders.
