Margaret Lou Wilson, 83, of Science Hill, passed from this life surrounded by her loved ones on November 20, 2020.
Lou was born May 15, 1937, in Blaze Valley, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Beulah Hunt. She was a graduate of Pulaski County High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Gerald Wilson in 1959. They spent many years living in Cincinnati, OH before returning to Somerset for retirement. Lou worked as a telephone operator and homemaker, but is remembered as the most extraordinary mother and grandmother. There aren’t words to express how much she is loved and will be missed.
Lou’s favorite pastime was visiting with her great-grandsons. She also enjoyed puzzles, playing Rook with friends, gardening, studying her family tree and attending church. She was an active member of Northside Baptist Church of Science Hill. The women’s group at Northside was a great blessing in her life.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Wilson of Eubank and Thomas & (Jan) Wilson of Cincinnati, OH; two granddaughters, Sarah & (Van) Tran of Sanford, FL and Rachel & (Caleb) Barron of Somerset; two great-grandsons, Griffin and Owen Barron; a sister, Ella & (Bob) Hodge of Lebanon, IN; two sisters-in-law, Regina Wilson and Loretta Wilson; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and a host of special neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; six brothers, Everett Hunt, Robert Hunt Curtis Hunt, Roy Hunt, Luther Hunt, and Marshall Hunt; five sisters, Grace Elizabeth Hunt, Bessie Hunt, Edna Cornell, Ruby Whitney, and Elva Smith; and her husband, Gerald Wilson.
