Martha Geneva New

Martha Geneva "Neva" New, 76, of Eubank, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born in Bowling Town, KY on April 16, 1943, daughter of the late Alonzo Bowling and Myrtle Rutherford Moore.

She was the owner of Neva's Market, and a member the Eubank Baptist Church. She opened her doors to over 180 children in her 28 years as a foster parent.

She is survived by her children, Penny Jones & (Bill), Preston New & (Stephanie), Darren New & (LaDonna), Stephanie New, Samantha New & (Toby), Paisley New, Leeann New, and Holly New; six grandchildren, Sam Jones, Nicholas New, Alexis New & (Brandon), William New, Maddie New and Cecilia New; two great-grandchildren, Ember Jo Lee New and Kaysen Zane Lorman; special nieces, Melynda Elder, Kristi Lay and Kelli New; three sisters, Wanda, Teresa, and Pam; two brothers, Larry Bowling & (Donna) and Junior, and special friends, Roman Ramirez, Sandra Utrera, Maria and Romeo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lee New, whom she married on September 30, 1960.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds & Bro. Scott Hughes officiating.

Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until after services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Jones, Nicholas New, William New, Brandon Lorman, Thomas McKinney, Toby Crabtree and Roman Ramirez.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
