Melinda D. Collins

Melinda D. Collins, 84, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

 

She was born on November 30, 1936 in Ohio; daughter of the late Raymond Thomas & Gertie Emalina Wesley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cuba Church of God.

 

She is survived by her husband, Donald Collins; three sons, Mike & Doug York, both of Eubank, and Ricky Wesley of Highland, Kentucky; three daughters, Earlene Wallace of Mobile, Alabama, Donna Estes of Eubank, and Pam Payton of Science Hill; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Taylor; five brothers, Bass, Avery, Claude, Carlos, & Milford Wesley; three sisters, Thelma Rash, Alma Wilson, & Pansy Hamm; and an infant brother and sister, who died at birth.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Atwood officiating.

 

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
