Melvin A. Caudill, 77, of Waynesburg passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
He was born in Waynesburg on July 13, 1941; son of the late Arthur & Vivian (Tackett) Caudill. Melvin was an Army Veteran. His years of service span from 1960 ~ 1968, with one year of service in Vietnam. He worked as a Machine Repairman at Square D in Lexington for 33 years. He retired in 2003. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting on the front porch looking out at the wildlife. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Mae (Walls) Caudill, whom he married on September 7, 1960; three sons; Keith & (Yvonne) Caudill of Waynesburg, Kevin Caudill & (Amy Carter) of Eubank, and Kendall & (Glenda) Caudill of Science Hill; six grandchildren; Denton & (Kaitlyn) Caudill of Waynesburg, Jeremy Caudill, William & (Rachel) Caudill of Eubank, Kendra Caudill & (Dylan Prater) of Science Hill, Jordan & (Brooke) Lewis of Hustonville, and Trevor Lewis of Science Hill; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; one sister, Junetta Caudill; and one great-grandchild, Ezekiel Lewis.
A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Waynesburg.
