Miles P. Ashley

Miles P. Ashley, 80, of Science Hill, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born in Amburgey, Kentucky on June 12, 1939; son of the late Londa and Alberta Hall Ashley. He was a Latex Operator for American Synthetic Rubber Corp. for 37 years before his retirement. He was an active member of Campground Baptist Church, who was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glenda McKinney Ashley; his sons, Gary & (Mary) Ashley, and Philip & (Sherry) Ashley; grandchildren, Zachary & (Danielle), and Kalyn & (Alex); great-grandchildren, Ana, Elli, Olivia, Isabel, Isaiah, Zeke, and Audrey; and his sisters, Euretta Proffitt, Lovena Barrett, and Elizena McElwain.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, Londa & Alberta Ashley; and his brothers, Readious, Dillard, and James Ashley.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 7, 2020 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Zachary Ashley officiating.

Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10 AM Friday, February 7, 2020 until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
