Millard "Joe" Dick, Jr., 52, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born April 26, 1971 in Somerset; son of Lillian Maurine (Phelps) Dick of Somerset and the late Millard Joe "Bud" Dick. Joe worked as a foreman for ground maintenance at Crico Enterprise located at the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond. He attended Parkers Mill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother; his wife, Atavia "Joyce" (Stoops) Dick; three sons, Eric & (Chrissy) Stoops of Somerset, Ryan & (Bethany) Davis of Carrolton, Georgia, and Jordan & (Kayla) Dick of Eubank; a daughter, Haley Jo & (Austin) Thurman of Science Hill; a brother, David Dick of Somerset; a sister, Carolyn Goff of Somerset; ten grandchildren, Bayleigh & Kayleigh Stoops, Piper Ragan, Adalynn Davis, Jasper, Lainey, & Tucker Thurman, and Eligh, Ellie, & Elliott Dick; sisters-in-law, Georgia & (Chuck) Hislope of Harrodsburg, Rita & (Jerry) Branscum of Science Hill, Peggy & (Randy) Acton of Somerset; a brother-in-law, Joey Stoops of Science Hill; and a host of friends & relatives.
He is preceded in death by his father; father-in-law & mother-in-law, George & Faye Stoops; and a brother-in-law, Michael Goff.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Darry Hatfield officiating.
Burial will be in Vaught Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, September 18, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
