Peggy Taylor

Peggy Taylor, 74, of Science Hill, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.
 
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 10, 1949; daughter of the late Junior and Ruby (Muse) Keeney. She was a retired District Manager for Stanley Home Products. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, sister and Nana. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed teaching them about the finer things in life, such as enjoying the creek, teaching them about gardening, and how to have fun on the farm. She had a green thumb, a love for gardening, canning, and taking care of her flowers. She was a member of Science Hill Nazarene and the Science Hill Garden Club.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, LB Taylor whom she married on October 17, 1981; children, Keli & (David) Nelson, Jeff & (Annette) Taylor, Mark & (Tammy) Taylor; daughter-in-law, Mary Wells; grandchildren, Jeffrey & (Bridgett) Taylor, Tyler & (Kayla) Wells, Josh Taylor, Corkie & (Aaron) Acton, Eric Jones, Dalton & (Whitney) Taylor, John David Nelson, Molli Nelson, Jessica Taylor, Keisha & (Tyler) Hughes; great-grandchildren, Brysten, Sadie, Raelynn, Bailey, Layton, Oliver, Maverick, Hazel, Emery, Opie, Canaan, Jude, Oakley,  Paislynn, Baron, Amos, Addison, TJ, and Easton; Sister, Ann & (Paul) Litter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and Nana to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, David Wells, Shannon Wells; daughter, Danelle Taylor; a brother, Charles Keeney; and her in-laws, Buster & Jessie Taylor.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 1, 2023 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Sellers officiating.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Science Hill Garden Club.
