Rebecca Whitaker Robertson

Rebecca Whitaker Robertson, 58, of Somerset, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on September 1, 1963 in Hazard, Kentucky; daughter of the late Earl & Katherine (Farler) Whitaker. She obtained a Bachelors of Science in teaching from Alice Lloyd College; completed her Masters Degree at Morehead State University. She enjoyed crafting, and operated her own store for a number of years. She loved singing, praise and worship, antiquing, as well as walking and enjoying nature.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jeff Robertson, whom she married on June 4, 1993; a daughter, Ariana Izabel Robertson; a son, Ian Seth Robertson; siblings, Earletta & (Miles) Sparkman, Glenda Kay & (Joel) Brown, Gregory Lynn & (Saralene) Whitaker, Frankita & (Will) Godsey, and Luther Dean Whitaker; nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, Earl & Katherine (Farler) Whitaker; and a child who died in infancy.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Pete McGee and Bro. Mark Harrell officiating.

Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 2 PM Tuesday until time for services.
