Reca Mae Vaught Moore

Reca Mae Vaught Moore, 83, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

She was born August 28, 1938 in Vaught Ridge, Kentucky; daughter of the late Cyrus & Hazel (Wiles) Vaught. She was a homemaker and a member of Nelson Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Gale Austing of Science Hill; two brothers, Jack & Jeff Vaught, both of Science Hill; three sisters, Jean Burton of Somerset, Charlsie Buis of Liberty, and Sue Buis of Vaught Ridge; two grandchildren, Joshua Allen Moore of Pennsylvania and Gina Marie Childers of Mason, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Boyd & Annabelle Moore, and Henry Childers; and a special nephew, Mike Barber of White Lily.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Moore; a son, Rocky Allen Moore; four brothers, Homer, Lonnie, Thomas, & John Vaught; and three sisters, Margaret Larkin, Lillian Burkett, and Betty Douglas.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Molden officiating.

Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
