Regina Barker

Regina Lorene Barker, age 97, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab in Somerset, KY and Hospice Care of Lake Cumberland. Regina was born October 14, 1927 in Shepola, KY to Joe Rogers and Ruth Molen Rogers. Regina Married John William Barker July 4, 1946. They had three children, Donna (Joe), Russell (Linda) and Wayne (Sherry); four granddaughters, two great-granddaughters, two great grandsons, and two great-great-grandsons, Kameron Wallace and Kennith Toney, whom she loved dearly; and several nieces and nephews. Regina was a member of Sardis Methodist Church of Shepola, KY.

She is survived by her three children, Donna, Russell, and Wayne and 1 sister, Illene Muse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Barker; her parents; four sisters, Betty Rogers, Geneva Branscum, Isa Nell Sumpter, and Anna Mae Simpson; and two brothers, Frankie Rogers and Billy Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Danny Sumpter, Terry Layne, Eddie Rogers, Robert Johnson, Kenny Toney, and Joe Ryan.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 9AM to 11AM in the Chapel at Pulaski Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Bro. Rick Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Garden.

Donna requests that any donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland in memory of Regina Barker, and also would like to express her appreciation to all Nurses and Staff at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab and Hospice of Lake Cumberland for the professional care that each and everyone gave her mother.
