Richard L. Maynard

Richard L. Maynard, 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center.He was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on March 10, 1938, son of the late Ferrell and Opal Irick Maynard. He was retired and a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed reading, watching sports and cowboy movies.He is survived by one son, Rick & (Gina) Maynard, three daughters, Debbie & (Harold) Jackson, Suzanne & (Troy) Hawks and Kristi & (Don) Bock, ten grandchildren, Bradley Jackson, Ashley Jackson Franklin & (Ward), Zachary Mills, Wesley Mills, Sarah Whiles, Clayton Riggs, Aubrey Riggs, William Bock, Ciaran Bock, and Sean Bock and one great-grandchild, Nick Whiles.A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday, December 1, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Jackson officiating.Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Honor Flight Kentucky, P.O.
