Roxie Howson

Roxie Howson, 78, wife of Lonnie Howson of Science Hill, Kentucky, died Friday, December 9, 2022, after a two year battle with lung cancer.

Lonnie and Roxie were married 63 years. Lonnie and Roxie had two sons, Leroy & (Judy) and Gilford. Gilford died in March 2022 after a long battle with COPD lung disease. Lonnie and Roxie have three grandchildren, Leroy's children, Lonnie Christopher, Leroy Andrew, and Shonda Brown; and several great-grandchildren. Roxie has three sisters living, Alma Anderson, Louise & (Herbert) Rayburn, and Beulah & (Doyle) Davis; and sister Lorraine deceased. Four brothers living, George, David, Ray, and Larry; and Cub & (Peggy) Ellison, Cub deceased.

Roxie was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. Her church family loved her and love Lonnie. They are members of Little Cuba Community Church of God, Eubank, Kentucky, with Bro. Troy Roberts as pastor.

The family would like to thank the staff at Somerset Nursing and Rehab and the Hospice Care nurses.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Cuba Cemetery with Bro. Troy Roberts officiating.
