Ruby York

Ruby York, 87, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 20th, 2025

She was the daughter of the late Howard & Allie Caudill. Ruby married Bernard York on August 21, 1957. They enjoyed 62 years together prior to his passing. Their union produced three children: Gary, Debbie & Larry York. Gary preceded his mother in death & Ruby was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Norman Walls, a grandson Jonas and the following siblings: Billy Ray Caudill, Faye (Junior) Breeding, Reva (Sherman) Ray.

Ruby is survived by two children: Debbie (the late Norman) Walls, Larry (Diana) York, two grandsons - Chris (Brooke) Walls & Jordan (Erin Leann) York & three great grandkids: Ty Walls, Ida & Makilynn Grace York. Ruby was looking forward to another great grandchild scheduled to arrive in October.

Ruby is survived by the following sibling: Mary Grace Sluder, Everett (Angie) Caudill & Nanny Bell (Bill) Sesco.

Ruby was devoted to her husband & children as she took pride in being a homemaker. Ruby make sure the family home was well-kept & there were hot meals on the table. Ruby enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She dearly loved her grandkids & great grandkids who brought her so much joy.

Ruby was a born again Christian who attended Cuba Church of God in her younger years. She enjoyed listening to gospel music.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Atwood officiating.

Pallbearers will be, Larry York, Ty Walls, Chris Walls, Jason Sluder, Marshall Sluder, and Adam Haste.

Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
