Stan Hislope, 68, of Russell Springs, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Russell Co. Hospital.
He was born in Nancy, Kentucky on October 10, 1950; son of the late, Kenneth and Glenda Taylor Hislope. He was a retired Truck Driver. Stan loved animals, watching birds, and had a keen desire to explore nature. He loved walking through the woods, and enjoying the scenery. He enjoyed food, and loved Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Johnson Hislope; a daughter, Christal Coffey; siblings, EK Hislope, Terry Hislope, Tracy Hislope, and Carol Brock; two grandchildren, Kenneka Coffey & (Matt VanHook), and Oliva Coffey & (Collin Huntsman); and three great-grandchildren, Audrey Ann Huntsman, Trenton Matthew Huntsman, and Lyric Matthew VanHook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Gary Hislope, Jerry Hislope, Russell Hislope, Danny Hislope, and Peggy Loveless.
A celebration of Stan's life will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 6 PM at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Sister Laura Harris officiating.
A private committal service will be held at Hislope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 4 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
