Steven Pumphrey 59, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on May 28, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio to Phillip and Dorothy Anderson Pumphrey.
Steven was a fan of classic rock music and NASCAR races and in his younger years he was a muscle car enthusiast. He was a collector of hats and had a large number of them that he had gotten over the years. Steven loved his country and was a veteran of The United States Air Force in which he proudly served for six years. He enjoyed spending time with his brother in law Tommy on the weekends and he loved his grandchildren and he was definitely his mothers boy. He will be remembered as a Jokester , who could make you mad and make you laugh all at the same time, and as a good man who was kind and accepting.
He leaves behind his wife, Lisa Pumphrey, a son, Scotty Ray Pumphrey, one daughter, Sabrina Michelle Pumphrey, two stepsons; Mark Anthony Robinson and Joseph Daniel Weichert, 5 stepdaughters; Stephanie Michelle Hensley, Diane Nichole Whickcar, Jennifer Lynn Weichert, Vanna Nichole Weichert, and Sheryl Lynn Weichert, his three grand Children and five step- grandchildren, Braelynn and Rylinn Pumphrey, Allison Hairrell, Madison and Ryliegh Robinson, Ava Weichert, Tate and Cole Gilmore as well as a sister, Marilyn Pumphrey.
He is preceded in death by His Parents and one brother, Phillip Royce Pumphrey.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be Private.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Steven Pumphrey Memorial fund C/O Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.
