Thomas "Big Tom" Gholson

Thomas "Big Tom" Gholson, 65, of the Woodstock Community passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Amherst, OH on October 26, 1952; son of the late Elmer & Katherine Abraham Gholson. He was a retired General Supervisor for American Tokoyo Rope, Wire & Cable. He was a Christian saved by Grace, and both a deacon and member of Woodstock Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, serving his church, and was an avid historian.

He is survived by his wife, Nyoka Gholson; two sons, Thomas Parker Gholson & (Leann) and Nichalus Perry Gholson & (Ashley Nicole) both of Somerset; a brother, Christopher Gholson & (Susie) of Somerset; two sisters, Kathy Barnes and Beth Crabtree & (Roger) both of Somerset; five grandchildren, Thomas Gholson, Kaleb Gholson, Abigail Gholson, Arial Gholson, and Liam Burton.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Toneka Rae Gholson.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Woodstock Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Patterson and Dr. Daryl Jessie officiating.

Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 2 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Woodstock Baptist Church until time for services.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Woodstock Baptist Church Mission Fund.
