Truman Hargis, 83, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born on October 15, 1941 to the late Moses & Florida (Whitis) Hargis in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Truman spent his life working as a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a sharp shooter. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife, whom he was married to for 59 years, Omalee Hargis; his son, Daniel (Vicki) Bray; a grandson, Ian Tyler Bray; and special nieces, JoAnn Witt and Kathe Godby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Bray; a grandson, Justin Trent Bray; and his siblings, Zelma F. Hargis, William E. Hargis, Thrilda J. Hargis, Thelma Floyd, Tressica Sims, Thurman Hargis, Justine Tackett, Josephine Lee, Thomas Hargis, and twins who passed in infancy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Fudge officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Eden Cemetery.
