Velma Jean Wesley Spaw, 87, of West Chester, Ohio passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Heritage Springs.
She was born on April 5, 1937 to the late Rance & Elsie (Foster) Cain in Liberty, Kentucky. She loved going to church, shopping, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member at Beech Grove United Methodist Church. Velma was a special person to everyone she met and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Jean & (Ronald) Scalf; a daughter-in-law, Carol Wesley; a brother, RC & (Brenda) Cain; a sister, Brenda Sue Cain; her grandchildren, Trina Stephens, Raymond Wesley, Carrie Grisso, Emily Jean Vanoy, and Ronald Earl Scalf; her great-grandchildren, Curtis Stephens, Kayla Copeland, Spencer Ray Vanoy, and Connor Grisso; her great great-grandchildren, Adler, Rhyker, and Luka; and she leaves behind a host of friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Raymond Wesley; her second husband, Claude Spaw; her two sons, Steve Allen Wesley and Kenny Ray Wesley; and her sisters, Geneva Angel, Louise Carpenter, Alma Means, and Wanda Lou Cain.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Beech Grove Methodist Church with Bro. Lester Randolph officiating.
Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends starting at 11 AM until time of services at Beech Grove Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take form in donations to the Beech Grove Cemetery Fund.
