Virgil Thaddeus Eubank

Virgil Thaddeus "Thad" Eubank, 94, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Thad was born on July 3, 1930 to the late Lemont and Nora May (Griffin) Eubank in Eubank, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Lois Evans on August 5, 1950. He was a Church of Christ minister for almost 70 years and was an auctioneer for many years. After working for 33 years, he retired from Paul's Discount. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Measel and Malena Whitaker of Eubank, Kentucky; a son, Tim Eubank of Eubank, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Eubank; Mike Measel, whom he loved like a son; five grandchildren, Stephanie Wesley, Jessica & (Derrick) Vaught, Matthew Whitaker, Timothy Lewis, and Katie Robinson; and four great-grandchildren, Jamie & (Ian) Wesley, Benjamin Vaught, Chandler Robinson, and Scarlett Vaught.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois Eubank; his son, Lemont "Lee" Eubank; his daughters, Linda Jones and Kathy Eubank; his brother, Zenas Eubank; and his sisters, Ruby Davidson, Glenda Keith, and Bertha Eubank, who died as an infant.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. James McDonald and Bro. Tim Lewis officiating.

Burial will be at Griffin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
