William "Billy" Lester

William "Billy" Lester, 60, passed away on December 24, 2024 at Hospice at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born on October 26, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio; son of the late Leona Margaret Hendricks Lester Workman and William Franklin Lester; and his step-father, James Workman. He enjoyed spending time talking on the CB and the internet.

He is survived by a sister, Lynn Lester Ball Loudermilk & (Steve); a brother-in-law, Mike Strobel; sons, Jesse and David.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leona Margaret Hendricks Lester Workman and William Franklin Lester; and his step-father, James Workman; sisters, Connie Sue Lester Honchell Strobel, Rhonda Lou Lester Wright & (Lonnie); and a brother, Richard Aron Lester.

He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Billy Roy loved the Hendricks family farm, it was filled with memories that he carried with him always. He loved his family and friends with all his heart, and he had a big one. He loved playing music, and playing his guitar, and singing. He wrote many songs of his own, he will be missed by all his family and friends; and his love for us all will be with us forever. Rest in peace Billy Roy, we love you, and you will be in our hearts forever.

Interment will be in Sardis Cemetery, Science Hill, Kentucky.

The family will have a celebration of life service for Billy at a later date.
