William Wesley

William Jerd (Junior) Wesley of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away peacefully from this life on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. Junior was born on June 18, 1953 to Mitchell and Patsy Wesley in Ansel, Kentucky.

Junior is survived by two brothers, Ronald (Eva) Wesley and Raven Wesley both of Science Hill, KY; two sisters, Dovie Haste and Illa Jean Hendricks both of Science Hill, KY; and sister-in-law, Faye Wesley of Eubank, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gladstone Wesley, Boyd Wesley, Eldon Wesley, and Lawrence Wesley all of Science Hill, KY and Ira Wesley, Ivan Wesley, and Donald Wesley all of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Alice Norris of Cincinnati, OH and Delda Mae Wesley of Ansel, KY; brothers-in-law, Glen Haste and Gerald Hendricks of Science Hill, KY and Bill Norris of Cincinnati, OH; and sisters-in-law, Margie Wesley, Mary Wesley, and Judy Wesley of Cincinnati, OH and Faye Wesley, Fern Wesley, Jean Wesley, and Stella Wesley of Science Hill, KY. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends to mourn his passing.

After graduating high school, Junior worked as a Janitor at Hogue Elementary School, as well as a School Bus Driver. Junior was a fun, loving man who really enjoyed all the young people he saw everyday, and driving the bus with ball players and cheerleaders to their ball games and field trips. After this, he worked for several years for Warren's Service Station in Science Hill where he also enjoyed the many customers who came by everyday. He also worked for Ridgenet Network Group for several years. As well as worked on a farm caring for "his" cows as he called them. Junior loved listening to music. He dedicated the last years of his life in helping with fundraisers and helping see that Sardis Cemetery was well taken care of. Junior accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and is now resting in his brand new, forever home in Heaven.

A funeral service will be held at 1PM, Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Sardis Christian Church with Bro. Jimmy Thompson and Bro. Chuck Woodcock officiating.

Burial will be at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5PM-7PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
