Zelene Aundra Cooper, 84, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born March 19, 1937 in Frazier, Kentucky; daughter of the late Robert C. & Mollie (Cooper) Copenhaver. She worked as a secretary for Time Finance and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Jolly Red Hatters, Senior Friends, and the Young at Heart.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gene Cooper; two nephews, Earl Ray Kelsay and Raymond Wayne Copenhaver; and two godchildren, Travis & Ashley Sanders.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lloyd, Raymond, & Arnold Copenhaver; and three sisters, Evelyn Irene Kelsay, Pearl Flynn, and Jean Copenhaver.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Keith McKim officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, May 7, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
